Kärcher Development

This purpose-built development establishes a new head office for Kärcher New Zealand on a prominent site along Ti Rākau Drive. The 6,000m² Design and Build project consolidates Kärcher New Zealand's office, showroom, warehouse and service operations within a single integrated facility. The development also includes New Zealand's first Kärcher Clean Park, incorporating advanced automated car wash technology and a biological water recycling system. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability and operational efficiency, the development is targeting a 5 Green Star rating under the new industrial building framework. Sustainability initiatives include an extensive underground water-treatment and recycling system, which captures runoff from the warehouse roof and car-wash facilities for reuse across the site.

Eclipse delivered the base building and fitout, leading the architectural design and multidisciplinary coordination from concept through to completion. The project required close collaboration with Kärcher New Zealand and international representatives, with a palette of champagne gold and charcoal black providing a subtle reference to Kärcher’s brand identity. Deep cantilevered eaves splay out to create a dramatic corner statement, with angled mesh screens adding another layer of facade texture and sun-shading. Large standing-seam wing walls screen the operational zones, creating a restrained backdrop to the office façade.
